Default Is it dangerous to fire up bike with no exhaust system on ?

Removing my exhaust system and studs are pretty bad, I wanna fire up the bike to heat up the block and maybe loosen up the studs. Its the safest way that I know to bring the temperature up there.

Is there any risk in firing it up without any exhaust system or sensors hooked up?

You never know with these new ECM ran engines

Thanks a lot!

My first thought would be your valves and stems. With out the exhaust they could warp from cooling off to fast.

In the old hot rod days, we would stuff a rag up the header to keep cool air from doing that when we had the pipes off.

Didnt run the bike. Gentle heating of the stud with a torch while monitoring head temperature with my finger. Then cooled the stud quickly woth a can of liquid air for dusting computers ans BAM!
