I also experienced gloss black powdercoated heat shields starting to dull over time. This may give you an idea what your bike would look like with a chrome motor and blacked out exhaust etc.

Thank you for posting pics of that CVO! That’s the exact one I’m getting. I wanted gloss black pipes. They look good in satin too. Was it hard to put on the datachable trunk?? Looks like your seat is different too? Does that detach quick even though they’re heated?? I’m

This is what I've been told also. And it'll happen close to the cylinder head like a chrome pipe does when it blues. I just had some mufflers powder coated with a high temp flat black. It'll match my Samson head pipes when they get here.

When I put the kit on to remove the tourpak, I swapped my seat for a Street Glide seat. I felt the stock hammock seat was too large with the pak off. Here's a pic of that seat now.

That’s really nice man. I like the gator. Was it easy to swap the seat since the OEM is heated??

There is one plug under the stock OEM hammock seat to disconnect when removing it. Very easy to do. Not much use for a heated seat here in SC even in winter IMHO. The V&H Propipe was replaced yesterday with a Rinehart Slim line system, it has a tad more gloss to it. I took this before I put the new cover on the Street Glide seat with the gator panels.

I really like that rhinehart pipe! I live in Vegas so we’re far enough away from each other..I see you put a black air cleaner too

How much was the quick detach kit to remove the trunk?

Harley sells the detach kit for around $500. You will find it in their P&A catalog. Not a hard thing to install. You will need to bundle up all the unused wiring to hide under the seat. I folded it up and put it in a can "cozy" so it didn't scratch the fender. It's amazing how much lighter the bike feels without the tourpack on it. The kit comes with saddlebag lights to replace your turn signals that were on the tourpak. The gloss black a/c cover and tranny side cover are the oem ones powder coated.
