Looking to swap out my stock chrome exhaust on a 2009 Iron 833 for a black exhaust (factory). Can anyone advise if I can fit an exhaust from a 2015 or 2016 883? If not, what years would fit?

I can't understand why nobody has replied to this thread sooner,

Sportster exhaust systems from 2004 to 2013 are interchangeable with each other, in 2014 the exhaust system was changed inline with the Sportster models getting ABS braking. On the up to 2013 models the catalytic converters were in the mufflers and the interconnection pipe linked the mufflers. On the 2014 - up Sportster's the catalytic converters were relocated in the header pipes and the the interconnection pipe links the header pipes. The mounting brackets are also different between the up to 2013 and 2014 - up models.

Whether you go for a full exhaust system or just slip-on mufflers, you'll have to specify that you need the 2004 to 2013 type as the later type just won't fit a 2009 Iron 883.
