The brass will not ever sieze up on the stud.

Why pay for some grunt to learn how to work on your bike when you can do it yourself (and learn something in the process) for free?

Thanks for all the advise, I am taking advantage of the time and rain and cleaning everything while I have her apart, also found the rear pipe support bracket was never put on so had to order a new bracket. Ordered the service manual as well, my own work from here on out. Now I just have to figure out the TTS and I should be good.

Well, finally got everything back together and went for a short ride. Bike seems to idle a little rough but smooths out nice at speed. No more decel pop and I don't think there are any leaks. Could the rough idle be because the tune needs adjusting going from stock head pipes to duals? I am reading the TTS for dummies but haven't figured out what if anything I should change or adjust. Bike ran nice before but had a cracked rear pipe and decel pop.

In a word, yes. Did you change exhaust gaskets when you fixed the issue or did you just reuse the ones that were already installed? Decel pop could possibly be caused by an exhaust leak, (air gets into the hot exhaust causing unburnt fuel to explode in the tail pipe) retune the bike for the changed flow of the new exhaust and change the exhaust gaskets if you had not done so.

I put new exhaust gaskets in when I installed the new pipes, as I posted earlier, I found the rear jug didn't even have a gasket in it. I plan to have it re-tuned soon.
