Default Baffle wrapping ?

When repacking the baffle which part do you put the 'material' on. The short part with the small holes or the long part with the large holes, or both? Thanks...b.

for that pro-pipe baffle, only the rear section with the small holes is wrapped. sometimes it helps performance, sometimes it does not, and usually it will tone down the exhaust note. i like it wrapped. what bike and what mods to the bike is this for, i know lots of tricks with that baffle.

Looks like the competition baffle??? I had one on my 11 RK and man did it wear on me. A day of riding and I was ready to get off of it. But it sure sounded good when I twisted the wick.

the wrap basically just tones things down. the baffle is through put, not blind.
what happens is when the exh pulse travels down the pipe it is a pressure wave and is expanding but when it hits the baffle holes, some of the wave enters and then reflects off the outer wall back into the main exh stream and cancels out any 180* out of syn wave and thus tones the sound.

Even my stock baffle on the Pro Pipe was too loud for me. I wrapped both sections, and while it definitely took some "sharpness" off, it didn't really quiet it down much.
