1/4 20 eye bolts, fender washers, acorn nuts, all stainless. 1” and 1 1/4 washers. I plan to try both sizes in both pipes to see if there’s a difference in sound.

The reason im thinking about putting these in the tips, right behind the baffles is to try to cut a little bit of the bite out of the tone. They sound great, but really scream. Ive taken it up pretty hard, but not full throttle to around 3500rpm, and they do rip pretty loud. My slip on exhaust are 3.5”. I’ve read where these can help just a bit with low end torque, so do these really work? Does it matter if I put the screw head or the acorn nut toward the baffle? Any ideas or experience with similar inserts?
