2018 SGS Full Exhaust Tuning?
Hi all, thank you in advance for any help. I just picked up my first Harley on Monday. Coming from the sport bike scene. I am wanting to do a full exhaust with no cats on my new 2018 Street Glide Special with the M8 107. My question is I don't see an O2 bung, or am I just missing it? Do I need to do a tuner if I were to do a full decatted exhaust? I will be commuting a lot on my bike and don't want to void the warranty just yet, so not wanting to tune, unless the screaming eagle tuner from HD can support that without voiding the warranty?
And I tried searching through the forum, but couldn't find anything specific to my bike. Or I wasn't sure what I was looking at. The Harley world is far more immersive that I imagined.

you are going to have warranty issues if you change basically anything, unless you have a very good relationship with your dealer. HD got hammered by the epa and it has changed the game as far as warranty goes. if that is your concern, you will have to go with the HD stuff that allows you to keep your W intact, but performance will not be optimal. to get the best, you are going to have to have thoughts about the fact that it is possible that the powertrain warranty might be voided.
if you go with one of the better quality exhaust systems, (with no cat) yes you will need a tuner, and to get the best results a pro dyno tune from a well respected and reputable tuner, shop and choose wisely.
