I bought new V & H big radius 2 into 2 pipes last year for my '18 Fatboy 114 , from the H-D dealer , I notice now , that the heat shield beside the footboard is getting scratched up pretty good from my boots . I did find a part number in an internet search so I assume these parts can be bought separate . has anyone ever bought these parts ? not sure if the part number listed is just a referance number off the assy instructions or an actual part number .

I guy I ride with told me replacement shields aren't much less than the whole exhaust. Post up what you find out.

 

I only need the forward section of guard on the forward pipe , tryed getting through yesterday and was stuck on hold for a half hour , tried again this evening and only took 10 mins . the section of the shield that I need cost $110 plus 20 for shipping . 4 to 6 week waiting period though . I can live with that I guess . price seemed reasonable ....I will update when the part arrives .

 

When I was looking for black exhaust I called and got a quote to order black heat shields for the Power Duals to replace the chrome ones I had. I think it was about $100 less than ordering a whole new setup with a 4-6 week lead time.

 

Hi I'm Josh. I'm new to the forum .. was wondering if anyone on this forum might know where to find some heat Shields for a pro pipe ? Or what it may be worth without them? A friend of mine give me the pipe. But I'm not sure if it will fit..
