First FI bike I’ve owned, 2009 super glide. I just bought it last week and will be swapping out the Vance and Hines big radius exhaust for a thunderheader. The bike has the screamin eagle heavy breather intake but other than that it’s stock. Will I need a new tune? If so, will I be able to put the tune off for awhile while I save for an fp3? Last question, what kind of numbers over stock should I see with this set up?

 

Buy the parts you want to fit, including the FP3, as you can afford them, then install them and tune your bike with everything fitted!

 

The VE tables are fairly different going from a BR 2-2 to a Thunderheader, and I would definitely recommend getting it tuned again. Was the bike already tuned when you bought it, did it come with the device?
