Default Vanes & Hines broken muffler


Just thought you guys would like to check this out only 4k miles on the motorcycle. Bought a 2015 switchback from the dealer and this was already on the bike it had 2k miles.

Maybe the muffler was loose or had strain on it? The break looks rounded in the pic, like it was run for a while like that ( but it could also be the angle of the pic ) The weld didn't break.

Easy enough fix and it's in a rather inconspicuous spot

@fat00boy yeah I have rode with it broken for a few hundred miles. At first the noise was not very noticeable just a faint squeaking from a cold start but after a while it was very prevalent at a cold start and would go away when it got hot. I originally thought it was the baffle coming loose inside so when I took it apart to beat the baffle out of there that's when I discovered the break.

@Uncle Larry I thought about fixing it but I hate how big the muffler is. I think I'm going with the bassani radial sweepers for a 2 into 2 system or I might go with the road rage or the El Diablo systems for a 2 into 1 approach.
