Default 08' cylinder heads

Anyone know anything about these heads. I just used them in my new engine build with the 10.5:1 compression pistons. They are new this year as they have compression releases also they have 95 cc combustion chambers as opposed to 72cc on the MCR heads finally they have the se race springs and allow up to .650 lift and 7000RPM's. Im still waiting on my pipes they should be here tomorrow.

SCREAMIN’ EAGLE® PRO TWIN CAM ACR
PERFORMANCE CYLINDER HEADS WITH
AUTOMATIC COMPRESSION RELEASE*
These performance cylinder heads feature automatic compression
release and are factory assembled with Screamin’
Eagle Race Springs, capable of .650" lift, enabling use of
high lift cams. Heads feature CVO combustion chamber
shape, with volume of 95cc’s, and 2.080" Intake Valves /
1.63" Exhaust valves. All EFI models require ECM recalibration
(priced separately). For race application only.
Fits ’07-later Twin Cam models.
17165-08 Black Highlighted. $1,099.00
17166-08 Silver Highlighted. $1,099.00

My build is as follows

#17165-08 SCREAMIN’ EAGLE® PRO TWIN CAM ACR PERFORMANCE CYLINDER HEADS
#16546-99 SCREAMIN’ EAGLE 3-7/8" BIG-BORE CYLINDER KIT
#22137-08 SE Twin Cam Forged Stroker Pistons for 110+ or ACR Performance
Heads
#16101-01 SCREAMIN’ EAGLE BIG BORE HIGH PERFORMANCE HEAD GASKET KIT
#18401-03 SCREAMIN’ EAGLE PRO PERFECT FIT PUSHRODS +.030
#25475-06 SE-258 Cam Kit
#29253-08 SCREAMIN’ EAGLE PRO “HEAVY BREATHER” PERFORMANCE AIR CLEANER KIT
#319322-99a SE PLUG WIRE KIT TWIN CAM
#32321-91 SE SPARK PLUGS " these plugs wont throw codes or cause security issues there just a copper core with colder heat range"
#32107-01LEFI RACE TUNER
D&D FAT CAT 2 INTO EXHAUST WITH PEREFORMANNCE BAFFLE
PLUS ALL GASKETS AND ACCESORIES NEEDED.

My harley dealer thinks it should be a pretty good build I have high expectations. My bike is an 08' street glide and it already comes with a 50mm throttle body. The piston and head combo make a 10.5-1 compression ratio. Im hoping forat least 105hp 105tq. What are your thoughts?

Interesting heads.

If the pistons and chamber are a OK fit should work out fine. Maybe 9.5 -10. Very useful CR.

If you use stock rocker boxes they might have interferance by the spring top and movement area. Also check the cover here and at pushrod areas. Unless HD sells you their SE rocker boxes and covers which are supposed to be already machined out.
Clearance the top inside pushrod tubes.
Spark plug is a spark plug, but they don't cost much. Hell I use NGK Iridium.
I guess this is already built but if not "Roller Rockers" are a good thing. They do that job better that stock ones longer term. Make a tiny tapping sound some don't like. I figure, My Money Working.

I think this is a good build. Gonna be nice. I just said above about the rockers boxes because that is where I had to adjust a fair amount. Otherwise a hell of a lot of noise and a "not good" for valves and guides.

I don't know how HD does it but S&S has a very good thing about "Initial Break In". On their web site. And here also somewhere. First few startups. Helps the rings live much better.

Since these are all SE, should tune out fine.

Wish you well. Have a good time.

You should begood to. Please let us know how much power. I just had customer ask me about these heads I have never used them yet. Just watch the rocker box covers. for the springs and lift. Also i would clay the pistons to make sure they dont hit the valves. HD says you should be fine I still see a lot of prob with the htcc stuff. Good Luck.........

We reworked a set of those on a 110" engine. We restored the quench band with weld, brought the cc's down to 90 and chocked the ports down 30% with weld and cnc portd them. The engine went from 80 to 118 horse, 97 to 122 torque revs much quicker and runs 30-40 degrees cooler. Same pistons and TB, different cams.

Very Nice..... Did you seem to find the chamber to be to big for the 95ccs seem to be a little to much forthat kind of bulid i can see why you chocked it down. Please let me know. Thanks......

The SE pro twin cam 103+ heads have a 98cc combustion chamber so this is slightly smaller. This head and piston combination is in the 08' SE catlog and it says it yields 10.5:1 compression. I hope it turns out Ok King of cubes as you guys definitely know your stuff. I have been on your website many times very cool.

Yes, tightening up the quench and giving it more quench area seems to be the ticket. Back when we did it we didn't find any domed pistons (last summer). We felt that the ports were a little large so we choked them down 30% and put the vortex generator in the intake ports. The cams we used was the RR615 and it was set at 10.5 to 1. Very quick reving now.

Yeah I went with the SE 50mm throttle body, 103+ heads, 103 forged pistons, se perfect fit push rods, and sert. I am getting 112tq and 105 hp. I am also running a 2 into 1 Rienhart with stage 1 air cleaner
