Default Gas tank sound

I was working on my bike tonight for a low idle problem and noticed a strange sound from the gas tank. With the ignition switch off, the tank is making a gurgling sound, like pressure escaping very slowly. The sound goes on for several minutes. At first, we thought it must be the tank vent was clogged. removed the fuel cap to no help which eliminated a clogged vent. Does anyone have any idea what the gurgling sound is?

Default RE: Gas tank sound

Prolly the fuel lines bleeding off....

Worst case is it is a pinhole in one of the internal lines of the pumping assy....

Need to hook up a fuel gauge to see how long it takes to bleed off, as well as sustained pressure....
