Lifter will not bleed down??????

Alright folks, here is my problem.
I have a 1997 FLSTF Fatboy with 6500 miles. (Nice ride) Just installed a new Andrews EV-27 camwith inner bearing, Sifton lifters and Andrews adjustable pushrods. But thesame onelifter (rear exhaust)will not bleed down and pushrod is tight. Have pulledrear liftersout twice tobleed/drain oil and replacedthem dry. After adjusting the pushrodsand waiting 15 minutes stillnot able to roll the exhaust pushrod in my fingers. The other three pushrodsroll in my fingers like butter. What gives???? I can roll the engine over in gear with no problems but I am concerned!!!!
It seems that this rear exhaust lifter fills with oil fast but the rear intake is still empty.

ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS??????
This is my first EVO cam and all went together great up to this hiccup!!!

Thanks ahead of time
Al Wendt

RE: Lifter will not bleed down??????

You got to be VERY careful turning over the motor before a lifter is bled down...you can bend a valve very easily like that.
If the push rod won't spin after 15 min try backing off the adjustment 1/4 turn at a time (counting) until it frees up, the valve is off it's seat is what I'm thinking.
Not to imply that you made a mistake but are you sure the adjustment was made on the heal of the cam?

Sounds to me like you have the lifter collapsed. It cant bleed down because it already is. Take the lifter out fill it up with a hand pump oil can via the hole in the side of the lifter. Make sure the lifter is on the heel of the cam, lengthen the pushrod until all free play is out of it, then lengthen the pushrod the appropriate number of turns/flats. Then lock it down and in 15-20 mins max it should be loose enough to spin the pushrod. Hope this helps.
