carb? bent valve? timing? im baffled...

I need help before i take my 05 dyna wide glide to HD shop.&nbsp\\; Was running awesome, started missing, popping flames out bottom tailpipe with lots of rich eye burning black&nbsp\\;smoke along with it.&nbsp\\; Wont idle due to missing.&nbsp\\; Rear cylinder not throwing flames out tailpipe.&nbsp\\; Now fuel leaking from petcock "ONLY" when i start the bike.&nbsp\\; I changed plugs twice and with the standard and platinum. Changed the wires, and i checked and there is spark from both to the plugs.&nbsp\\; Ive been told it could be a bent valve causing back pressure to tank and causing fire out tailpipe,&nbsp\\; ive been told its the carb and something sticking in it, ive been told its the timing and it needs adjusted... i dont know ..&nbsp\\; i just know that no one has a definate answer and i dont want to pay HD shop several hundred just to tell me what is wrong if someone here can diagnose me properly.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Thanks.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Daniel&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; 2005 dyna wide glide twin cam carb that was jetted when bought brand new in 05 by HD shop with screamin eagle slip tips and nothing else has been done to it.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; [&:]

Sounds like the float in the carb is stuck. Most likely theres dirt between the needle and seat

also pull the smaller hose offn the back off the fuel petcock if fuel spills out the diaphram in the petcock needs replaced. that of course only applies iffn u got a stock petcock.it will flood out in a hurry. trevor

If worried about valves a compression gauge will answer question real quick. Most automotive parts stores have them be sure it includes a 12mm fitting for twin cams.
