your cv carb will be more than adequate if jetted and tuned properly - give you the best mileage and excellent street manners.
if you have to change carb styles, i would vote for the mikuni.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; if you leave your motor stock, you will not see any significant improvement with changing carbs (over properly jetting, etc the cv you have) other than perhaps quicker throttle response.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; not much improvement for the money spent.

I replaced the CV with a Mikuni HSR42. Much better throttle response, but you can spend less money and rejet the CV if you aren't going to change exhaust, cams, etc., what will give you a better response too, as not as much as with the Mikuni. S&amp\\;S carb is a great carb too and I love the look of its filter.

As already mentioned, the CV carb WILL provide what your looking for.
THey will make a tick more torque coming up through, vs a Mikuni. The Mikuni will show more hp.
How do I know this????
Back to back testing, on the dyno, while you folks are out riding.

I liked the Mikuni. I built a 95" motor and put a 45 on it. The bike loves it and has great throttle response and great top end. Good Luck.
