Don't waste your money, the stock CV is good for motors up to about 85hp and a better overall carb than the S&S.

Been there, done that. Save your money and find a good CV tuner or do it yourself. They are real simple.

The S&S carb is great for big inches, wild cams, and wide open heads. It requires a little more tuning to get it right on. And it is no altitude sensative like the stock CV is.

Save your money for fuel and tires.

For your mods CV is better as long as you modify it. Go with the same jets as the Twin Cam and the same needle for the main jet, but use the '89 Sportster 1200 idle jet needle. Can't remember the jet sizes offhand.
