Best performance mods for 1340 Evo motor?

With the head flow characteristics of an OE Evo head, major work IS NOT needed to run a .500-.510" lift cam of the Wood 6 or Andrews 27 class. Full-on port work, will only bring a tick more. A 1.900" intake valve will help though.
Now on the other hand, 90 hp/90 ft/lbs is easily established with port work, correct compression, and a Wood 8.
These options ARE IN FACT, the most direct approach to great power, without dumping your wallet out.
Check www.woodcarbs.com for more insight to these facts.

Would you suggest the Screaming Eagle adjustable pushrods? or aftermarket?
Also, would you add the Torrington bearings with the cam change?
Thanks

You are learning! Yes definately on the torrington and the pushrods are preference. I have a set from crane cams pushrods I am about to install on one of my bikes but generally speaking I prefer HD parts most of the time. Im just using the crane because it was what was available at the time I picked them up from the local HD dealer. By the way, welcome to the forum.

Same cam, same carb (rejetted), k&n, screaming eagle ignition, v&h straight shots (2 into 1 gone for looks & sound although you're right about the performance). If you're still around I was just wondering what kind of HP I may be generating.
89 softtailC with 2nd gen Evo. Thanks & hoping ya can give me a ballpark. 69.5 outta factory.
