10.8:1 compression...which cam?

10.8:1 compression...which cam?
If you frequent the Touring section you might know my dilemma.
Anyway, I have a SE 103 Stage II, cast flat top pistons, SE MCR heads, SE 255 cams and have 10.8:1 compression. Bike has never ran right since this build.
Anyway, I know what I would like to do (T-Man 103" Stage III kit w/ 625 cams), but money is tight since OL lost her job. A few people have recommended a new cam (and tune). The 2 cams that have been recommended are the HQ575 and the T-Man 590.
Here's my problem...the SE MCR heads only accept cams up .575 (maybe .585 depending which catalog you look at - HD is so screwed up) and w/ the cast FT pistons 10.8:1 compression. The HQ575 is .575 lift but for up to 10.5:1 compression and the T-Man works GREAT with 10.8:1 compression but is .590 lift.
Now, it has been mentioned that the T-Man would work and that the specs (of the MCR heads) give room for error, a cya thing and should handle the cam no problems.
Is there another cam out there? And, since money is tight, is there a SE cam that would work? I really feel like making the dealer swallow this since it is their fault.
Just trying to educate myself and hear more opinions on a cam. Thanks.

Get the dealership to change the heads out to the MVA heads or use your stock heads or have your stock heads sent to a REPUTABLE head porter, giving said porter your specs so they can get your CR within acceptable limits for your riding.
Secondly, get the dealership to set your deck height for a quench of .030".
Seems those MCR heads @ 76cc's is what is cranking up your compression too much, IMO. That thing probably PINGS like hail on a tin roof!!! Check your CCP. I bet that it's close to 220.
I wouldn't count all lost, nor would I spend a chunk of change chasing a different build. Change the heads, set the quench, get a GOOD dynotune and ride it like you stole it.

At 10.8 your on the outside edge for a Wood 8, 408, is a shoe-in, but still in the loop for a 9B.
Heads need attention( valve/valve, springs, etc) to establish the use of those cams.

Sounds to me like you have been too ambitious with these mods. You need to either find a good local shop who can sort it out for you, or phone one of the very helpful sponsors of HDF.

You are asking about the SE cams ,...There are a few things to look at. The numbers that you think you have may or not be the case. A CCP test will shine some light on what your compression really is. So if you look at the SE cams that would work in the 10.5 range as you asked about. The 251 would fit the bill and is a bolt in for your heads.
