baffles for Samson Fishtails?
 

Hey folks
I have a 2000 RK with V&H truduals and 33" Samson Fishtail Drags. When I had the stock head pipe on it sounded awesome and had lot of power, a little decel poping but nothing really loud, Now that I have put the tru duals on it runs like crap and the decel noise is unbearable , everytime I let off it sounds like a truck Jake brake. I love the straight pipes but hate the decel noise with the tru duals. I have heard about guys putting baffles in the fishtails to quiet them down a bit , but with it eliminate the jake brake sound Im having? also I was thinking of trying the thunder Monsters to help get some torque back and quiet it down on decel.

anybody on here put baffles in fishtails or had the same problem?

I like the look of the Samson Fishtail drag pipes. I'm concidering a set for my Roadking Classic. I checked the Dennis Kirk cataloge & found that they offer baffles for their straight drag pipes that fit touring models.The fishtail & regular drag pipes have the same i.d. You should be able to install the baffles from the inlet end. They list for less than $40.00 each.
