Bob Wood has JUST released his new lifter, that the world leaders in the automotive performance valvetrain manufacturing were involved with.
Should have 1/2 dozen sets here today.
Good stuff.
That said, we have stayed with the Moco "B" lifters for quite some time.

Here's a question Scott. You have advised, and I have followed, putting the pushrods 3 1/2 to 4 turns down into the Harley B lifters. (.150ish)
Should we do the same with the Morel/Woods? Or do more like .100ish?
Also, do Woods lifters have a single flat for the roll pin? Two flats like Morel? Where does one aim the lifter's oil port? Front on front, rear on rear?

By all means follow Scott's advice, but here's my ovservations on lifters. Any lifter that needs special settings to be quiet out of the 50% range is likely junk. In essence, one is trying to find a tigher spot in the bore/piston fit to have the least leakage. It should be the same clearance from min to max adjustemt and should be silent all the way through unless it has a million miles on it. This is why I chose HQ black opps, since each one is leak down tested. This , at least rules out some of the mass production tolerance that can vary between batches.
Oil holes can be pointed any way you wish, but if you plan on r&r ing them at some point it's best to put them in so the original wear positions can be matched. I chose out on all of mine, but all in is ok too.

So you saying Wood's an Morel are straight body lifters? If stepped, they are still non directional in regards to oil flow.
