Hey everybody, looking for info on putting Screamin Eagle heads part #16854-98A on my 1996 Softail Custom. I finally broke down and put an Andrews EV27 cam in this winter and what a difference! Now I'm feeling the need for speed, damn mid life crisis! Anyway rest of engine is bone stock, D and M spike/spear air filter with Vance and Hines 2 into 2 Big Radius, Screamin Eagle ignition module and coil. I know S and S are good products but man they think their stuff is made of gold! Any other brands out there that I'm missing? I've searched the Drag Book. Thanks in advance for your help!

 

Did you get the SE heads on. If so are they worth the money? I got a 1997 Bad Boy with EV27 cam, D&M air cleaner, Super B carb, SE programable ignition module and coil, supertrapp 2 into 1. Are they worth the money

 

I see that Harley is so proud of these that they don't show any dyno graphs for them in their SE cataolge. Makes one wonder. Here is a graph of the stock heads ported.

Just re-worked a set of those for a client in Mass.
They pushed out 155 cfm @ 10" @ .600 lift.
Much more than needed, for his 80" Evo @ 10.25 cr, and a Wood 6 cam/re-worked CV carb/Thunderheader build.

I've got a buddy here that closed his shop...he's got a set of S&S heads for sale,probably about 1/2 of S&S's price....I think I've still got his original ad that he made up for Ebay/Craigslist if you're interested??
