Default need Some Jettig Advice

Hi All, I have a 95" FLHT with SE MCR heads, 251 cams, SE ignition & Bub 7 True Duals. I can't seem to get it to idle smooth. It also pops on deceleration. I have a mikuni 42 with a 165 main & a 30 pilot jet. I don't know what the needle is but I'm going to pull it tomorrow. The air fuel screw does nothing for me. I believe I read in a previous post that this means the pilot is to big. Any opinions on this and what I should be running for a pilot & needle with my setup? Thanks from the new guy.

check your intake gaskets. sounds like an intake leak. inspect the rubber gasket good. mine had a pinhole, you could hardly see it but when it was tight, it opened up and leaked. ran like crap. when your air screw does nothing, somertimes that is the culprit. Oh, and it is a harley, its not going to idle smooth, and its not uncommon for it to pop on deceleration, mine does, its just talkin to ya. lol.

Boy, that 30 pilot sure does seem big to me.
I'd drop that to a 25 and see what it does.

My 05 Roadking 95" built utilizes stock heads with Reinhardt true duels, free flow K&N filter, S&S gear cams 510G’s with a Mikuni 42... Runs strong and idles great, here’s my jetting data:

Idle jet - 27.5
Idle screw - 2 turns out
Needle jet - stock no change
Needle - stock #97 with clip at position 3
Main - 175
Acc pump gap set at 2mm

Hope this helps...
