K&N's custom air cleaner assembly + remap?
 

I have a 10 police rk stock everything. I saw the K&N's custom air cleaner assembly kit to replace the airfilter ( the one that says i give you about +8 hp) i have read various articles and forums that state late model vehicles in the US run lean inorder to pass epa standards. On k&n website it says that no tuning is required when installing this kit. I have also read various forums that say significant changes to airflow may require tuning and i know that two of the same engines will have slightly diff perfomance numbers. My question is, would i need to have the bike tuned if i install the k&n assembly
