Obviously the best case scenario.

Hi Folks,
The air filter was dirty, and I changed it, but no improvement. I need to find the opportunity to clean the IAC port since that is free. Busy with house guests lately. How will I recognize the IAC port? Anyone want to recommend a fuel management system. I am an old carb guy and trying to master the EFI system

I doubt its the IAC port; if it is a sensor, more likley MAP or CPS but if those were off, I would expect a code. I am still going with a mismatch between the ECM map and the intake/exhaust; which could easily be sorted out with a good tune. Might as well open up the intake and exhaust before the tune if still running stock.

If you are a DIY guy, you could look at the Thundermax and the new DynoJet Vision; both have auto tune capability and are for the guy that doesn't have to squeeze every last foot pound of torque or every last .75 horsepower from motor. The new PC Vision is a speed density unit unlike their previous hardware.

If you have access to a dyno and intend to tune via a dyno, talk to the dyno guy and see what he/she likes.

With the throttle blade wide open, look in at 11 o'clock. While cycling the ign. switch spray in the port with throttle body cleaner or Gumout etc. Put rag or paper towel in the throttle body to catch the dirty stuff coming out on the other side of the throttle plate.

Can't beat the price of "DIY"

Happy New Year to you and yours.

Hi Folks,
I cleaned the IAC port and it seems to have helped. Now I am going to get a crankcase breather system that doesn't dump oily fumes into the intake.

Thanks Everyone,
Doc

That is certainly good news!

Thanks for the update. We have learned from it.
