I will have to think on it some more. Last time I solved a vibration problem like yours, a buddy and were at our wits end and about ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater when I found a small rock wedged between the frame and the engine. Removed the rock, problem solved after days of frustration.

If the vibration exhibits all the time, under all conditions, it is very likely associated with the rotating mass in some way. If the vibration is bad, I doubt that timing is the source.
