Hi folks,
Can anyone tell me how to go about getting a replacement chrome heat shield for a Vance and Hines Monster Oval slip on pipe?
I have one that has been damaged and do not want to go to the huge expense of buying a whole new pipe.
Does V&H sell replacement parts for their systems? I know they sell baffles etc. but Heat shields.... ?
Any information gratefully received.

I was trying to avoid dealing with V&H direct as I have read some real negative stuff about time lines etc. and was hoping that a vendor somewhere had one on the shelf.
But I will try them after all I think. :O(

Did you ever get an answer to just replacing the heat shields? I dropped my bike over the weekend and would like to replace my shields as well.

I am looking for a secondary set of heat shields in chrome for my monster ovals with true dual headers. anyone know if you can get these?

 

Try e-bay but more than likely you'll have to get them from V&H. They quote a 4-6 week delivery time on most replacement parts but also say it's usually shorter than that.

There is a guy in Glenpool, Oklahoma that buys and sells a lot of NOS and used Harley parts. He goes around to swap meets and dealers and buys parts they no longer need or want. I've been to his shop and he does have a ton of parts at decent prices.

I replaced my passenger side shield last fall. Tried a few vendors, but found it easier (but pricy) to order them directly from V&H. It took about 7 business days to get it (5 days for shipping). Pretty easy to trade out and I did not need to use a new clamp.

 

Hopefully, I'll get my end cap that fast.
