It wasnt clear, didnt know if it meant the stage 1 from ness was holding it back or stock was holding it back.

A hi flow air cleaner is an assembly, not just one component. It uses a filter element that is supposed to flow more than stock, and a re-designed backing plate that also allows more airflow. most of the popular brands/units flow in very similar amounts, but some are better than others, do some research.

Im trying to do some research, figured what a better place than right here! I am probably going with big sucker stage 1.

Check out post number 3 in the link above. I know it is an old post but the numbers don't change in time. And, in no way am I bashing this forum, as I love this place, but there are better forums for digging into things of this nature. The link and HTT are good places to get info that is a few layers deeper than the norm around here. That being said, the cost is not much between the Ness stage 1 and 2, do yourself a favor and get the stage 2, it flows more air and looks significantly better aesthetically.
