Default Upgrade butterfly carb to CV?

I have an '88 Evo Heritage 1340.
I've been looking for a CV carb to replace the old butterfly. I saw one today that came from an '01 Sportster 883. The guy said it had a Dynojet kit installed. He switched to a bigger Mikuni when he built up his motor.

I know I would need a new manifold, or adaptor. The throttle cables are on the front side of the carb though, and mine are on the rear. Will the cables just move to the other side of the carb?

Does this sound like a good carb to switch to? Would one from an '89-up Evo 1340 be better? He's asking $100, which is about what I'd expect. I know I may have to re-jet.

Thanks for any help.

When I built my 87 I put a carb and intake from a 95 on it. Starts and runs great of course I did have to go over the carb and tweek it some since the motor juiced up quite a bit.
