So my RK has been running rich since I bought it, but it has a V&H Pro Pipe, Screamin Eagle air cleaner, and a PC III USB. So after doing an ungodly amount of reading about the unit and all, I decided that I would update the firmware on the unit. Followed all of the steps to a t, and the units firmware was updated successfully. I loaded the proper map onto the PC, disconnected everything, reconnected to the computer to check the map and see what was going on. Turn on the ignition, hit the starter, and the bike fires, and runs, but is still very rich. Engine light is on, and there is not a single light on on the programmer. Ended up calling tech support, and was on the phone for like 45 minutes, trying everything to get back to where it was. Apparently the PC I have is specific to 98-2000 motors TC88 with FI. They can not be upgraded as far as firmware, so we flashed it back to factory, reloaded the map, and now the bike will not start. Took the PC off, hooked the bike back up to factory ECu......bam bike fires and runs. So now my PC is on its way back to Dynojet for a diagnosis($25), and possible repair. If it cant be repaired, they will give a discount on a new one, but I dont know if I want to go that direction. Anybody have good luck with any other tuners? Be interested in some feedback.

 

Did you install either of these maps?
802-317 = VH Propipe, Stg 1 ECU, SE A/C
802-316 = VH Propipe, Stock ECU, SE A/C
I'm assuming your bike is 88" and just Ppipe ands A/C.

 

Yeah, 316. The tech guy even did remote desktop, and he couldnt get it to start. It was pretty cool, a guy in Vegas making all of the changes to the map on the bike from his desk out there. Unfortunately it did no good.
