Default Slight misfire at idle and low cruising speeds

1994 1200 Sporty that has a misfire that I am trying to fix. Took the air cleaner off to change out fuel lines (old ones needed replaced) figured I would start the bike make sure it was leaking and noticed air/mist was popping out of the carb where the filter would go on.

Changed out plugs and cleaned carb but not sure what can be the problem. Maybe just a rebuild kit...? Runs fine when you rev it up and during acceleration but when i let off and come back to a steady throttle it has like a slight hesitation and kinda makes a pop sound where the air filter is. Any thoughts?

Tight intake valve or burnt intake valve? check compression.

I forgot to mention, the little hose on the back of the carb has a slight crack in it by the end and was wondering if that could be a problem at all? Also what exactly is that hose anyways?
