Default S&S 106 stroker question

Thanks for reading everyone!
My 2006 FLHRCI has am SE 95" Big Bore kit with 203 cams and .030 gasket. 15k miles on it, runs well but I want some more.
I'm seriously considering upgrading to the 106" flywheel from S&S including 585 easystart cams (probably going to gear if I change the flywheel), rods, rockers and springs. All S&S in the hope that they work well together. I'll get the stock heads lightly worked over here, nothing major. Also debating whether to stick with .030 gasket or move to .040, I would like to avoid compression release valves.
My question is, any harm in keeping the existing SE pistons and cylinders? They are flat tops as I believe are the S&S that would be sold in the stroker kit.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

should be a good build, you can use your cylinders, but not the pistons (you`ll need S&S stroker pistons)set the compression @ at least 10.25-1 & get your heads done with 1.900/1.630 valves, with the EZ start cams, you wouldnt need c. releases anyway

Thanks Prodrag, I know I am about to ask you a stupid question but can I just stick new pistons and rings in my used SE cylinders or do I need to get them worked before I do that.
In my simple mind the new rings should take care of the fact that the cylinders are used but an opinion from someone that knows more than I do would be very useful!

Not Prodrag but I believe he would agree that you should get .010" OS pistons and bore your cylinders to fit. Protect your investment of time and money and start out with a true bore and proper piston fitment.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense.
Next question is, with the 585 do I actually need stronger springs, roller rockers and gear cams?
S&S says that these cams are a direct bolt-it on 2006 TC88 and can run the stock springs but perhaps this is not true when running a 106" with higher compression than stock.
My engine is relatively fresh with only less than 20k miles on the clock.
I'd just like to know if it's necessary before I pull the trigger and then even if technically is not I might still decide to do it to "future proof" the engine so to speak.
Thanks everyone!

JMHO but no, you don't need stronger springs, roller rockers of gear drives. Roller rockers are not needed until cam lifts crosses .600". I run OEM rockers with TMan's 600SM cams without issues or the added noise of rollers. Gear drives are optional but I see no reason to run gear drives with the new hydraulic tensioner setup. Stronger springs are also an option but the OEM beehives are up to the task.
