V&h power duels or true duels

OK guys i am getting ready to order my head pip tomorrow, a V&H power duels or the true duels setup. I want the loudest possible :) sorry thats just my style guys. I have a 2012 street glide, i have a set of S&S 585 cams that i will be installing here in the next week or so, air filter and a pc5. So any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

loudest is True Duals and most power is with Power Duals

What tuner you use should drive your head pipes selection. For Instance I have a 2012 FLHTK using the Dynojet Power Commander 5 and if I ever want to purchase the Autotune module I would need to have 18mm bungs welded into my headpipe or purchase headpipes with the 18 mm bungs. I purchased the V&H Power Duals for 2009 which included the 18mm bungs. I have chrome plugs in them for now as the standard program is working fine. But if I ever decide to addd the Autotune I simply remove the plugs.

for Power Duals
16759 = 2009 and has 18mm bungs which are required for a tuner using wide band O2 sensors
16769 = 2010-2011 with 12mm bungs

16849 replaced 16769 and has 12mm bungs, different angle same location as 16769

Thought some pictures might help you make a decision. Notice the fit and finish between the headpipes to the mufflers and how the 220 degree heat shiields fit close. I am very happy with my V&H Power Duals and Monster Rounds

I have the power duals on my 11 SG and wouldn't trade them for anything. Closet thing to a 2 into 1 that you can get. And for that matter I have been finding lots of engine builds pulling some awesome numbers and actually hanging with the D&D pipes!

I have true duals on my 11 street glide with CFR mufflers sounds loud and mean and really barks when you hit the throttle best sounding setup of heard bar none! If you want loud you will love it!

I am an older rider and have had enough of the ringing ears after long rides. Several years ago traded the loud mufflers on my '03 for a set of V&H True Duals and Monster Ovals. At first they rumbled at idle and a littl more with WOT, radio friendly and I lost no torque or HP. As they seasoned the WOT has gotten loder but still rqadio friendly. For my '12 I wanted the same radio frindly mufflers but really like the Power Duals head pipe. Looking at the Power duals it is easy to see a V&H Pro Pipe with a mirroe image out for the duals. I like the monster series mufflers and like the look of the rounds so I used the V&H Monster Rounds on my new bike. Again they rumble at idle and a little more at wide open throttle (WOT) and as they are seasoning they seem to be getting louder at WOT. Have a little over 5k on them now and would not consider ever changing them. best of both worlds, power with rumble and radio friendly.
