Since mine was new I had some noise. No thanks to Harley s POOR warranty I put new lifters in and help with the low or ideal noise but since still have some noise at 2,500 to 2,900 RPM all I do is turn the radio up a notch. I have talked to MANY and gotten many a email about others having the same problem. When I go into it I am going to check the rocker arms. Since I have over 92,000 on it must not be anything that bad.

Not sure of the price difference between the CompCams and Gatermans.
Gaterman lifters are quality hardware; cost is double CompCams plus a bit. For the money, the CompCams lifters are hard to beat for a bolt in cam upgrade. When lifts start approaching .600", Gaterman, Black Ops or Woods would probably be a better choice.

EDIT: Gaterman has changed the 1023 lifter and new ones are not on the shelves yet. The change was the lengthening of the anti-rotation flat. Some have reported issues with the stock length of the flat with high lift cams with small base circles to accommodate the higher lift. Unless running high lift cams, the "old" 1023s will work just fine.

Default That Ticking noice

Guys please check out a video on you tube man. I had the same issue with my 2012 Roadking 103 motor. Easy fix guys bought some Rocker Lockers for 15 bucks and installed them myself. Buy yourself a manual for the bolt torque specs. Do it yourself a save tons of money. the rocker shaft has play where the bolt go through and they make sleaves to take the play out. They work man. Now my ride sounds good all I hear is my rineharts and I love the way they sound. Please check out the video on you tube. Rocker Lockers or Rockouts just differ company who make them.
