Default Changing exhaust

Ok so I have a tuning question. My 2000 ElectraGlide came to me with SE ignition module, SE intake on the carb, and some un-named slip-ons that are very loud. I assume the carb was re-jetted when the upgrade was done. Thes e pipes are too loud for my taste especially now that I've installed a stereo in the bike. So my question is this. If I put quieter mufflers, perhaps stock, will I have to rejet the carb?
Thanks

Rejet? Maybe; probably depending on the current state of tune. You can quiet down the exhaust without reverting to OEM slipons which will choke the exhaust and downgrade performance. A set of aftermarket performance slipons or a set of re-cored performance baffles from Fullsac is your best bet.

Thanks for the reply. Really don't want to go the OEM route but need quieter. I will look into new baffles and if that does not play out I look for new slip ons.
