Default 2000 Dyna TC88 Smoke

Hi All,

I have an original 2000 Dyna with 85,000 miles on her.
Never been apart.
Runs strong and never any problems but in the past while noticed exhaust smoke on the deceleration.
When I snap the throttle, I notice smoke out both pipes.
At normal idle, choke in and warm, no smoke unless throttle snapped closed and on the decel.
I haven't paid close attention to other bikes, but is this more oil and wear related or fuel from the deceleration.
I had plans to do a full top end on the bike this winter.

Thx
Jim

I'm sure one if the shop experts will chime in on this but sounds like time for new rings. One or more might be going.

Deccel smoke is usually seals/guides, smoke under a load is usually rings.

Probably time for a new top end.
