Adjust handle bars

When I bought my 2025 RG3 I had them add a couple of things before picking it up, one of them was to put some 12" handlebars on it. Well, they never called me into adjust the bars the way I would like them, so the question is how hard it would be for me to just adjust the bars myself. I want to move them closer to the windshield. I took the 2 screws out that are on each side of where the tack and speedometer are, but when I pulled it up it seemed like you need to pull the ignition switch to get that cover off, is that true? Any help would be appreciated.

Two Interviews-Harley/Indian

If you haven�t had the opportunity, there are two interviews on YouTube worth listening to: one on ADVRider with George Gatto, a longtime Harley dealer in the Pittsburgh area, and the other on Law Abiding Biker with Mike Kennedy, the new CEO of Indian.

Both men agree that the last Harley CEO�the shoe guy�did significant damage to the Motor Company. George Gatto, while skeptical at first, is encouraged by Artie Starrs and thinks he�s moving the company in the right direction. Mike Kennedy spent more than twenty years with Harley and was then pushed out of the company�not his choice�so you wouldn�t expect positive comments from him about Harley. With that in mind, his line, �Harley makes better T-shirts than motorcycles,� was classic.

The other significant comment from Kennedy was that Indian will soon be entering the trike market. He didn�t give a definite date, but said it would be soon. In addition to product development, Kennedy is focused on building a strong rider culture. He presents himself as a rider/CEO, rides his Pursuit to shows and dealerships, and wants to see a strong rider culture developed within Indian Motorcycles. I hope he succeeds, and personally, I�m very interested in seeing what Indian offers in trikes.

On a less-than-positive note, I stopped in at my local dealer the other day. Like many Harley trike riders, I plan on buying a new trike. I went in to test-ride an SG3, the trike I�m planning to purchase. I currently have a 2024 RG3. I did my test ride, and then, as expected, the dance with the dealer began. I had spent considerable time reading about the new trikes, I had the MSRP information, and I knew what area dealers were selling 2024 RG3s for. The trade-in number they offered for my RG3 wasn�t a surprise; it was blue book value. What was surprising was the purchase price they presented: $10,000 over MSRP. After some discussion, their best offer was still $4,000 over MSRP for the trike. Of course, I�ll find a better dealer to work with. I understand the dealer is in business to make money, but $10,000 over MSRP is offensive.

My work schedule is such that I�ll be traveling through next spring, so my ability to ride will be very limited. Because of that, I�m going to wait and purchase a 2027 model. Actually, I�d love it if Indian has its trikes available by then. I�d really like to see how they compare. From what Kennedy said, they are working with a partner and will be offering a trike with true independent suspension.

Windshield vibrating?

I have an issue with the windshield vibrating. Seems like the whole fairing is vibrating. Including the mirrors. I had the dealer install a Klock-Werks Flare Demo windshield. It vibrated also. Fairing, mirrors, and my helmet. I hope it's not a design flaw. I've heard other riders experience the same thing. How about it? (2026 Street-Glide 3.

DK Custom Oil Relocation Kit Question

Hi,

I'm considering purchasing the DK Custom Oil Relocation Kit for my 2014 Tri Glide and have some questions. I've emailed DK but have not received a response.

I watched a YouTube video on the installation process. It was well done . . . but he mentioned that he had a DK "passenger relocation kit" which apparently relocates the passenger footrest.

It wasn't clear to me if the footrest kit was required.

If there are any thoughts pro or con on the above two kits, please let me know before I order the parts.

2014 tri glide for wife�s anniversary.

Hi all and thanks.
Last Friday I took possession of my brother�s tri glide. He can�t ride it, need assistance to get on and off. He wanted to give it a good home, it�s a 2014 blue/black with only 12000 miles. He ask if I was interested and he would sell it to me for 10G. Yes I would be stupid if I pass it up! It�s loaded minus the CB or the saddle bags wife wants. Now I don�t have to hear her fuss about riding my 07 wide glide. Fist thing I did was put a driver backrest, a booster seat seat for her, and a lumbar support pad for me in back. Now I�m snoring like a Harley in the back 🤘. Life is good, and no more complaining about hot riding my stage3 wide glide!

The bike is a 103HO twin cooled, stock. It has Vance and Hines slip on. I plan to put a k&n air filter, cleanable oil filter, and an oil guy oil cooler. Leave it a stage one! I live in south Louisiana, reasonings for extra cooling.
So now for the good and bad!
Trunk do not leak, no problem. Cardo intercom, no problem. Bluetooth streaming radio, good to go. She wants saddle bags, ok.
What else should I be looking at? Crew I�m open for any suggestions. So all you guys been owning trikes for years, give me everything you got. first trike I�ve ever had, first trike I ever rode. Just a dumb Cajun with no experience with trikes. Bike is for 120 pound wife that loves her Kawasaki Z125 pro, probably 115 wet.

Adding Electric Plugs

Hello all,

I would like to be able to add a couple of electric plugs to the bike for my cameras. I have tried the plugs that go into the built in plug with less than ideal results. Can I wire a plug direct to the battery and not cause any issues with the Canbus? These would be commercially available plugs not something I would throw together. Also, would powering a camera off the plug in the fairing cunny cause any issues? 2024 RG3

Triglide belt guard

Does anyone know of, or made a Triglide belt guard ? I have a mile of gravel road I have to ride on to get in and out of my house, and I'm worried I'll get a rock in the belt and would like to put some sort of belt guard on my trike to avoid belt damage.

2026 SG3 Whinning sound in rear end

Ready to buy a SG3 next week. I see posts of a whinning sound in the rear end that is annoying.

If you have this issue was it fixable?

Is there anybody who does not have this issue?

Are there any other issues to be aware of?

Trike Shipment

Has anyone transported their trike via shipper before? I need the bike shipped because I don't have the time to ride it out there. Going from Wisconsin to Idaho. I know I can use shiply or U-ship. Was looking for other recommendations also. Plus want my pull behind trailer shipped as well.

2014 Suspension

Sorry in advance if this has been asked and answered...I tried a search, but nothing I was looking for came up. I have a 2014 Tri Glide with factory suspension. It has the factory tires...I bought it two years ago with only 1000 miles...it was sitting for a long time until the owner passed and his friend sold it. Took the wife out the other day and a few rough patches in the road really jolted her to the point her back was hurting later. I want to get her back out, but really need to improve the ride. First question is how much air should I run in air shock (manual says 50) and tire pressures (running 26 rear and 36 front)? Second question, what have you all done in suspension upgrades, tire upgrades, or lift kits to help smooth out the ride? Or are the trikes just hard to get a nice ride? Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

Headlight wiring issues-2015 Freewheeler

I'm having a bit of an issue. Last year I changed out the stock headlight for LED and added a set of Driving lights to my wife's 2015 Freewheeler At that time all the lights were working. Last fall we changed the bars and added heated grips. Earlier this year, when we were down south, we noticed that her driving lights weren't working. Fast forward to today, when digging into why they weren't working, found a wiring connector looped back into itself.Sort of like plugging in a power bar to itself. Explains why the lights weren't working. I cut out the connector and connected the lights to the low beam of the LED headlight. When I tried them, I noticed that the headlight is on high beam. Disconnected the driving lights, but headlight is now high beam only.

I read on the inter-webs that the ECM controls the High/Low beam, and it reads the LED & Driving lights as too much load, and switched to high beam only to protect itself, if this is true, do I need to remove any codes off the ECM, and then add in an additional lighting relay?

Have a chance to buy full rear rims with baby moon hub caps for 2010 .tri glide...one of the hub caps is dinted so trying to find out where to buy a baby moon hub cap...not sure who made rims but dont think its oem harley . any advice is greatly appreciated..ty

The dealer appears that their RG3 is gold and my Freewheeler is scraper iron. So I changed Freewheeler with a color change and upgraded my wheels.
