Have a '19 XL1200NS w/ fuel pump 75305-07A and purchased, on eBay, a slightly larger 3.7 gallon tank that said it would fit a 1200 custom 07-up. I struggled for a good 25 minutes trying to get the fuel pump inserted but it seems the breather line inside the tank was blocking the pump from fully seating, and no amount of side angle penetration would clear it. The OEM tank's breather travels to the side of the opening instead of through it. Is it normal for this to cross the opening? The eBay tank also appears to have a larger lip instead of a flush edge. Going to return it but should I be looking for something specific on the next tank I order? Trying to understand what my error was in ordering so I don't repeat it.<br />

Bike has been running fine with this combination.<br />

I have always hated the look of the stock airbox so I installed the SE Extreme Wedge and reinstalled the Stage 1 tune to 'start over'. When I started the bike after the retune, the bike ran very rough and started to backfire. It eventually smoothed out a bit but was still not right. I rode for a short time in hopes the system just needed to readjust to compensate for the better airflow but it still idled rough.<br />
<br />
I installed the tune again thinking I may have fat fingered something or the tune was corrupt. It started without backfiring but the idle remained rough and there was a strong smell of gas telling me it was running rich. I confirmed the installation of the Extreme Wedge AC and everything looked good.<br />
<br />
At a loss, I removed the Extreme Wedge and reinstalled the stock airbox with the K&amp;N filter. Bike started fine and ran great.<br />
<br />
This points to the Extreme Wedge causing an issue. There are no holes in the air cleaner elements. All seal surfaces appeared to be seated properly.<br />
<br />
Any advice on where to go with this (be nice!) next would be very much appreciated!<!-- google_ad_section_end --></div>

Have a 99 Road King FLHPI with the ever-luvly MM EFI setup, finally have the idle dialed-in and CAM preventative measures dealt-with (inner cam bearings and tensioner shoes). Now I have a fuel leak at the return line (rear) fitting on the tank.  At first I pulled the C-clip and pulled the hose fitting off the stud and replaced the O-rings, no dice.  Bought set of new fuel lines which came with the connectors (to the tank), installed, same problem unfortunately.  I've read several threads indicating an issue with the fuel line and/or O-rings, however this fuel line is brand-new.  I am suspecting a problem with the return-line check-valve possibly being stuck closed maybe?  And so when I turn on the fuel pump (ignition switch), gas seeps from the O-ring area of the rear connector, so either too much pressure and/or something wrong with the check valve it would seem, or a crappy brand new fuel line.  How does one replace (likely repair as nearly all MM EFI parts are unobtainium) these check valves?  And where are the check valves?  Are they in the tank? I'm thinking I'll need to pull the tank, take everything out (likely need to clean/replace the fuel filter anyhow) and see what's going on here?<br />

And yes I get it, I'll need to eventually pay the piper and do the Mikuni 42 conversation although I would like to hold-off on that for now however I sure don't like gas seeping out of the fuel line onto the top of the rear cylinder head, definitely not good.<br />

Key has been sticking and hard to turn from lock to unlock since I got the bike a few weeks ago, I removed the ignition today to adjust the bars and when reinstalling everything the key won’t move back to unlock, it’s currently past the unlock position. I can reassemble the ignition and it turns to all positions but I have no power and the forks are locked. I tried lubing and tapping the ignition thinking the tumblers are just stuck. Am I missing something before I buy a new ignition?<br />

I think I’m just confused lol any help would be appreciated.. attached pictures of the distributor and timing marks in current position<br />

Battery is good. 
I checked the stator and all good....</description>

My 06 street Bob died on me a few weeks back. I replaced the battery, it started up, ran for 20 miles and now won’t start.<br />
<br />
Battery is good.<br />
I checked the stator and all good.<br />
haven’t charged the regulator as I couldn’t get it running.<br />
<br />
pulled the plugs - no spark<br />
Pulled the coil and tested with a multimeter - all good.<br />
tested the power to the coil (green &amp; yellow wire on connector I believe) and nothing.<br />
<br />
No codes in diagnostic.<br />
<br />
Is the ECM toast?<br />
<br />
it’s got a power commander 3 in and when I plug the computer into it, it recognises the PC3<br />
<br />
I’ve exhausted my ability and knowledge.<br />
<br />
Any input would be greatly appreciated.<br />

What is the most common mistake that users make that I should avoid. Told dealer that when turning, I experience a small &quot;throttle surge&quot; in low gears that's especially troubling in turns with sand or gravel.  On my 7th Harley and never experienced it before. I assured him the throttle was in full off position during the surge.  Dealer says it's &quot;normal&quot;, the throttle is very sensitive. I have RA everywhere, but I am very blessed to be almost completely controlled with meds; however, the times that my shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, whatever could use a quick break are happening more frequently while I ride. While having a beer in the shop and admiring the bike last night I got to thinking about throttle by wire again. I pulled out the parts book and the shop manual while I sipped and listened to Ella Langley and here's what I found.</span><br />

<span style="color:#222222">By way of simple comparison, a 2017 FXDLS has different numbers for the following parts:</span><ul><li>ECM 41000057 | $700</li>
<li>Wiring harness 39201569A | $400</li>
<li>Throttle control 32700050 and tube 65100075 | $165</li>
<li>Left lower switch housing (cruise control) 71500282 and switch 71500290 | $100</li>
<li>Induction module 22200002 (I'll need an alternative since I'm running an HPI 58/62 setup)</li>
</ul><span style="color:#222222">From what I can tell, the ECM has 3 ports instead of 2, the third takes the feed from the throttle control and feeds it back to the induction module and done. Can it be that simple? I do not see any additional speed sensors beyond what my FXDB has, not counting the ABS sensors. Does anyone have any REAL knowledge on the topic?</span><!-- google_ad_section_end --></div>
