I'm getting messages that the fee for renewing access to these forums is coming due. I want to turn off the auto renewal.

Thanks in advance for telling where to adjust those settings - because for the life of me, I cannot find them anywhere in the user control panel.

Thanks!

In a couple of the other forums I am involved in, there are build threads of vehicles that belong to the members of those forums. Is there a mod or anyone that can create a page/sub section for members builds here? There are several members here that have pages dedicated to their bike/motor builds, but they are scattered and hard to find sometimes.

Is there a way I can either select what I want to see or block ones I don’t? For example I’d prefer to not see the political stuff… like at all. It would be cool to make it so they don’t show up for me. Is there a way to do that?

The Rationale For Time-Limited Editing

I love this site. I really do.

It's been a godsend of useful information and has afforded me countless opportunities to communicate, commiserate, and commence commerce with my fellow forum brothers and sisters (not to mention the ability to hone my alliteration skills).

What I do NOT love --not even a little-- and what has me ready to seek potentially greener forum pastures is the head-scratching time limitation on editing, which I believe stands at 4 hours. Or maybe it's not 4 hours. I'm not certain what it is but what I do know is that if I got it wrong just now, I won't long have the ability to go back and fix it! :icon_mad:

Although I put considerable time and thought into my posts, I still often find myself wishing to revise them beyond the 4-hour limitation for reasons important and mundane. This is especially irksome when posting classified ads that, more often than not, require subsequent editing in order to adjust the price or terms of sale long after the initial post.

Can anyone share with me and the rest of the forum the rationale behind time-limiting the ability to edit our own posts? If there are legitimate reasons for doing so, reasons that can't be addressed through other less annoying measures then I'd love to know what they are.

I consider this forum to be a valued resource but, truth be told, it's far from the only one. 'Nuff said.

Thanks for listening and stay safe out there!
