How important is the seal ring cover assembly?

Do I really need this inside the cam cover on my 45?
I have a Cycle Electric generator with integrated regulator

The integrated regulator does not fit behind the rocker clutch, per Cycle Electrics, it sticks out too far.

But maybe you are not running a stock clutch setup, you may want to look into that one. Carry on.

Thanks guys!
I went to the pedal type clutch lever and it is fine with the generator

Time to start wiring from scratch :icon_frown:

hardest part is the sequential wiper motor switch and the spot light beacon to blind the twinkie dudes who have to have the brightest headlights that not only spin but flash different colors

Palmer is real good at explaining where the looms should be located etc. Below is the best point to point explanation I have for wiring these bikes:

Bill,
I'll look to see if I have that same picture.
It appears to show a 5 pole switch, which is what I have.
What book is the picture from?

I have his 3rd edition books

Picture is not from Palmer, that is why I posted it for you. Print is out for yourself.

It is actually from a friends knucklehead manual, but it is the same for 45's.

Bill,
Can you get a better shot of the picture please?
My eyes are 71 years old!
