I don't have much of an update unfortunately. The reason GarageTalk doesn't work on Android devices running Nougat is that Google is requiring all apps to connect via HTTPS, instead of HTTP. HDF is not yet configured for HTTPS. We are working on this, but its an enormous task. It means that literally every single page, post, image, etc on the site will have its URL changed. So much potential for massive damage that we're taking things very slowly and deliberately. We're also using a couple of smaller communities first.

We are continually making updates to the mobile skin, and so I would encourage you to try loading the site in your mobile browser rather than in GarageTalk for the time being.

I will keep this thread updated when I get some more info!

Interestingly garagetalk magically started working for me again this morning. Hopefully it continues.

Unbeknownst to me, HDF was upgraded to HTTPS over night. GarageTalk will now work for Android users on the latest operating system.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still not working for me.

 

I just installed mine again too and it started working. I have an Android.

 

About 3 hrs ago mine was still not working. Just now checked and it is.
