I always noticed that my signature was absent when using the mobile browser. Recently I noticed that sometimes it showed up on the full site and sometimes it didn't. In this thread, Bon Doc notes that your sig only shows up in the first post on a thread, and then subsequent ones don't have our sig.

I went back to a thread I started last year and my sig is present in subsequent posts until this fall. I'm just wondering why that change was made? Also why are threads like the link I posted, closed after a few days, while threads about someone's bike which was resolved 5 years ago are still open?

It's not a big deal, but when things post differently , I wonder if my computer is screwed up,and really it's a change HDF made.

 

It's been awhile, several months, that signatures were made for the one post only feature. It was because some have promotional and large signatures that it was implemented. Personally, I have signatures turned off, to help the pages load faster and have for a few years.

 

A lot of times I remember people by their sigs. Too bad a few bad apples spoil it for everyone else.

 

Sorry about the signature situation. And I'm the same way with avatars as far as recognizing members. It messes me up when they don't have one.
