How to edit 1st post in a thread to put in updated info??
Is there a way someone starting a thread can edit the original/first post in a thread to reflect updated information?
Example- planning a meet/greet in May....eventually I want to post the updated location/date/time in the FIRST POST in this thread but will be unable to do that. Anyone new coming into the thread in May might have to dig through pages of posts to find the meet info.

Thanks.

Pretty sure that after 4 hours a thread cannot be edited ... Maybe contacting a moderator to edit the posting could be possible.

What exactly are you wanting to update or are you wanting the thread to be at the top of that section? If the latter is what you want, just do a "bump to the top" post and that'll take care of it for awhile. If that's not what you need done, let me know what it is.
And Larry's right...there's a 4 hour window now to edit posts.

For the specific thread referenced in post #1 - once we finally figure out who is going and a location and time is set, I wanted to edit post #1 to put in that information so any newcomer to the thread easily finds it. If I put it in a future post in that thread, info gets buried/lost that way and a newcomer has to comb through posts/pages to find the info.
Thanks.
(not a bump issue)

I'm in the same boat. Trying to maintain a list at the thread below but I can no longer make edits. Tried sending you a PM but when I click on your name I don't see the option to PM

You can't PM anyone until you've been here 5 full days. Sorry...it's a rule.
So, what do you need editing on that thread?
