Why are Google map links being "censored"
Here is my post where it happened....but I've seen it happen to others here.

Apparently links to Google Maps other than from "My Maps" in Google do not work as expected.
I have notified Tech Staff and asked to have a look at this issue.

Did another test and found out the short link doesn't work.
Here's how to make it work:
In your post mark a word like "link to map"
Copy the long link from google
Click the chain icon
Paste the link into the pop-up screen
Click OK and Submit Reply

That didn't work for me. It all looked fine in the preview, but in the actual post the linked text was replaced with a defective map.
As you can see, the map does not show the route, and does not function as a link to the actual map. Any suggestions for me?

I discovered that if i quote a message with a link, the link actually works in the quoted material. Weird, eh?
