You would think an antivirus would protect/warn you, but no. First thing malware does now is disable detection. I noticed the laptop was slow and fan was running a lot. I had to download a tool on a separate computer and us it on a flashdrive to fix mine. The geek boards say the trojan has likely compromised my computer and even with a op system reload it is more susceptible to attack.
Anyone else get a trojan, nasty one at that, while surfing the site?
Haha! When I read your statement I pictured another forum member flinging a used condom at you!
Sorry. Couldn't resist.
I've never had any issues and consider this one of the few safe sites to surf. I view the H-D Forums at work, at home and on my phone and have never had any issues.

Hence why antivirus is only the middle of three factors and layers that I use.

Hey Bud, I use Microsoft Security Essentials, which is free, and I update it everyday. Also, I use the latest version of the Chrome browser with the ADBLOCK extension installed, also free. But, the best computer thing I've ever done is install ACE Utilities. I've never had a problem using this combo; 10 years I've had this old 2002 Gateway PC and I've used it almost everyday. Just my two cents. Good luck to ya.
