Default 07 fxd, 99 wg front end, able to use stock wheel/rotor?

I bought an 84-99 wide glide raked front end and 84-99 chrome caliper for my 07 FXD. The caliper hits the floating rotor bolt. I want to keep all the parts I have, does anyone know of a bracket that will let me use the newer wheel/rotor on the older front end?

Have the same problem. How did you fix this? Rotor is so tight to out side of my new caliper, do I dare grind some off of my ultima caliper breaker to bring caliper out farther away?

If truly there an interference with the rotor mounting bolt and lower caliper mounting Boss, you'll have to relieve it on the backside of that mounting boss.

But it seems odd that you wouldn't have clearance because that caliper has to accommodate the brake pad thickness which should give you bolt rotational clearance. Unless the caliper isn't "Flat" on the backside of the mounting bosses.

Maybe you can take some pics of the "inside" of Caliper?

Be aware, that caliper is made for 11.5" rotors, not the 11.8" that you are using. So even if solve the interference with bolt, you'll need to check and maybe solve the possible issue of the OD of the rotor to caliper interference

Btw, there are 11.5" rotors for those wheels

Of course, not what you wan to do, but if you changed to a Hub-mounted wheel/rotor as opposed to the existing Spoke-mounted wheel/rotor, that would eliminate those issues

Default Brake caliper rotor issues

Actually today I took the 4 inch by 5 inch round aluminum rotor hub that bolts up to my sturgis mah rim, taking it to a laith, they are going to take 1/4 inch off to bring the rotor to where it needs to be for caliper to mount over rotor evenly between pads. Should go on perfectly, my spacer where rite tire was dead center in forks, my mag rim fit perfect on my 2005 stock forks, but soon as I went with ultima 99 and older front end it was off. I'll let ya know how it comes out.
