Default 2014 Iron 883 Rear Brake Switch

My rear lights stay on bright like the brakes are being used all the time. They work when the blinkers are on, but they don't change when I apply the brakes. I looked up the DTC I found on the bike (b2223) and I found that it's Rear Brake Switch Shorted Low. So I'm trying to get to my rear brake switch and I know it's behind the brake fluid reservoir on older sportsters, but there's a problem. To get to the screws to take it off, one of my pipes are in the way. They are stock pipes, so I'm wondering, if I take it off, will I have to do anything special when I put it back on? Or just put it back? Thanks in advance for the help
