Bike Build - Frame Imperfections
Not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, but it seemed a good place to start.
I'm working on my first bike build. A 1975 shovelhead hard tail. At this point in the process, I've gotten the bike down to the frame and had it sandblasted. The frame appears to be in good shape, but there are numerous imperfections. Jagged edges, uneven welds and other imperfections that are not going to look good when it is power coated. I want a nice, smooth frame before sending it to be powder coated.
What is the process for sanding a frame to get it ready for powder coat?

You have to ask?! I would use hand files for the jagged parts that stick up and are accessible. Take care with welds, don't take much off them as you don't know how deep they penetrate the parts they join. Talk to your paint shop, as minor imperfections may be smoothed out by the powder-coating.
