2016 Iron XL883 Front and Rear Rotor Specs
I'm being told that the 2015 XL883N and the 2016 XL1200CX have the same rotor specs. Anyone have the exact specs? I'm being told that front specs are
Front:
Diameter: 11.5
Width: 0.2
Rotor Bolt Circles: 5x3.25
Rear:
Diameter: 11.8
Width: 0.28
Rotor Bolt Circles: 5x3.25
Can anyone confirm whether this is correct or if there's different specs? Thank you.

If all you want to know is if they are interchangeable, then you could go to the HD website and "Shop" for the bike and see that fitment is the same for both bikes.
But as far as the technical specs...
Sportsters FRONTS increased to 11.8" (300mm) in 2014 and REARS decreased in 2011 (supposedly to 10.5"...I haven't measured, but definitely smaller than previous).
Front width sounds approximately correct and the rears are usually a little thicker, but not sure they got all the way out to .280" on sportsters
BHC is correct @ 3.25"

- Your original question..."I'm being told that the 2015 XL883N and the 2016 XL1200CX have the same rotor specs."
Most the the information I listed above (other than some of the exact specs that i listed) can be determined by reading between the lines on the HD website.
"Good start" ?... It is it
What Wilwood rotor are you looking at...link?

The last two solid black ones at the bottom. The front specs are d:11.8 w:0.2 brc:5x3.25. The rear is d:11.8 w:0.28 brc:5x3.25.
The problem is that one Harley dealership is saying the front specs are d:11.5 not d:11.8. And that the rear specs are w:0.2 and not w:0.28 and another dealership is saying a different thing. Both rotors are available at both of those specifications, as you can see on the above link. When contacting the manufacturer (Wilwood), they say they don't know exactly. When contacting Harley Corporate, that say that they don't know exactly either. One thing everyone seems to agree on is that the rotor for the Iron 883 is the same rotor for the Roadster 1200. I want to be %1000 sure I get the right rotor for this bike so there my problem.

I trust my own research and analysis (actually enjoy it) although sometimes tough to acquire information...Have to keep digging...reading, looking, measuring..."Learning"
Do you have these dealerships that you've talked to close enough to visit? If so, go down and measure...talk to the service dept, look at the parts laying around there.
This Front Will work on 2014-later sportsters. Wilwood have poor application listing. The reason they say "2008-up HD Front" is because that's when the Touring bikes went to 11.8" fronts.
This Rear Won't work for any year sportster.
But Wait, don't you have a 2016 Iron? (as your thread title indicates). Just go out and measure them.

Here's a good example of using references...now what does that listing tell you?
It tells me the year all those models went to 11.8" front rotors. It's deduction...Even though it doesn't explicitly list the size, I personally know that 06-later Dynas and 08-later Touring have 11.8 rotors, so i deduced that 14-later sportster and 15-later softails also have 11.8" rotors. Of course I always test the theory next time i see one

Here's another reference tool...
http://www.hdwheels.com/product.htm ...A lot of good info
Down towards the middle of the page...
Now the first thing I think of when I see that listing is..."Hmm, 10.2" rear. I better check that because I see 10.5" bandied about on the interweb"...then i go measure it (or get more confirming info one way or another) , if it is important for my project

Thank you
Thanks. That all makes sense. To clarify, I have the 2016 Roadster 1200. A lot of third party manufacturers don't include the new roadster in their fitment specs but apparently a lot of the parts (like the rotors) are the same as the Iron 883. I'm in the process of blacking out the new a Roadster as much as possible. I'm going to start a separate thread with pics and explain everything that was done. I'll post the link here soon.
