Default Bottoming Out

2007 Ultra Classic Electra Glide bottoming out with two up after one inch lowering kit installed. Air shocks set at highest setting. How can I stop this?

I've got the 1" lowering blocks on my 01 Ultra and have not had a problem. I weigh 243 and the wife is 170, plus have my leathers, tool kit, air gauge, air pump, map, repair manual and a few other odds and ends in my bags. I keep the rear aired up to 30lbs(my 01 calls for no more than 35lbs) and ride 2 up 95% of the time.

The stock shocks are the subject of endless debate all around HDF. You have several options: some members change the oil in them and claim to improve the ride; change them for an alternative brand; buy a set of custom Ohlins.

I didn't bother with the first, simply because they are cheap shocks and yours are already almost ten years old, so probably past their best. I tried the second with limited success. Having read more shocks threads on HDF than was wise I resorted to the last. Call Howard at HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal - Mrs Bart will luv ya!
