Default Shocks aren't pumping up

So im reading my manual on shock pressure for 2-up riding. So i want to bump up my pressure. Problem is my shocks are holding pressure at 22 psi. I pump them with the air pump but its not seaming to get above 24 psi. Anybody else have this problem?

I have to actually take the valve out of the bracket it's mounted on in order for the pump to screw on far enough to get air on it...otherwise I couldn't get any air in it at all...nor sure if that's what you have going on or not but you never know

Are you using a standard type shock air pump like the one from Progressive suspension (GP3-60)? These air pumps have a one-way check valve that prevents pressure loss when the pump is removed.

Can you try your pump on another bike, and another pump on your bike?
